ACCOMMODATION
There are double and twin rooms with modern, en suite shower rooms and a double room with an en suite characterful bathroom. Each room has a television, radio, hairdryer, and tea and coffee-making facilities. We can provide fresh milk on request (sachets are standard) and a small fridge if required. All duvets and pillows are hypo-allergenic. We can always provide extra, or alternative, bedding.
The library has comfortable seating, a television and DVD player with a selection of DVDs including (endless) episodes of All Creatures Great and Small which was filmed in and around Askrigg. There are books, newspapers and magazines, and board games. Or you can just relax and enjoy the view of Addlebrough and the dales
We serve breakfast in the dining-room on the ground floor, or we’ll gladly serve you a light breakfast in your room. We get all our meat, eggs and milk from local farms.
The beauty that is Askrigg ....
We are happy to take card payments or you can pay by cheque, cash or BACS.
CHILDREN
There isn't a lot of space for children, but we can usually make room. Please ask about charges and facilities when you make your booking.
TELEVISION, RADIO AND THE INTERNET
You can tune in to terrestrial channels BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and Channel 4 but there’s no Channel 5 reception. There's a laptop in the library on which you can access the internet or you can use your own computer with the chapel’s free WIFI network. Connection speeds are generally good, unlike mobile reception which is virtually non-existent in most of the house. But you’re welcome to use our landline: 01 and 02 numbers are free and you can give the number to family and friends.
